Youth Evangelism Conference

That’s right ladies and gentlemen! It is that time again. YEC is just around the corner and to make sure you are well prepared, I have sent you this newsletter. If you haven’t been or if you suffer from amnesia that makes you forget all things awesome, let me inform /remind you of the WHA T, WHERE, WHEN, HOW’S, and WHO’S of this event.

WHAT: YEC is a youth centered ministry conference designed for middle school and high school age teenagers. You will need $25 for your conference arm band this will include lunch for Saturday. You will need some cash to eat on Friday night. I am not sure how much it takes for you personally but I can tell you we will eat at a “Wendy’s/Taco Bell” type fast food restaurant.

WHERE: YEC will be at the Municipal Auditorium in downtown Nashville. We will be spending the night at Inglewood Baptist Church with 2 other Youth Ministries from Smith County just like last year.

WHEN: YEC will be on March 9^th -10^th And YES I know that’s a Friday and Saturday ( Parents enjoy!). We will leave Friday around 4p.m. and return Saturday around 4p.m. for now (return time is subject to change).

HOW will I sleep? Well if you sleep that is, If we are not up all night playing “sardines” again. You will need a sleeping bag/pillow and blanket. Gentlemen will sleep in the sanctuary and far far away through several locked doors and a series of mazes the ladies will have the youth room.

HOW will I smell? Deodorant never hurt anyone neither did brushing your teeth so a small overnight bag/ backpack may be in order. But you are more than welcome to rough it but you may lose some friends in the process. (Just a reminder we all will ride in the same bus!)

WHO will be there? Starfield will be the worship Band. The Skit Guys will be there, Also Clayton King and Sean McDowell will be the event speakers.

àIf money is an issue scholarships may be available first come first serve but do not let that stop you. Please call me and we can usually work things out. If you want you can put aside $5 per child a week in the offering marked” YEC and your name” starting this Sunday and your whole trip can be paid for by March 4^th! Please Note that after Feb. 12^th your money will be non-refundable. You do not want to miss this event! Invite A Friend!
